Audio Home Theater Samsung Deal
Your fancy TV’s built-in speakers probably aren’t doing its picture quality justice. After all, thin panels simply don’t have enough room for decent audio drivers. That’s why you may need a dedicated soundbar system with a subwoofer and rear speakers for that truly immersive audio experience. If you've been thinking about improving your TV audio situation, you’re in luck. Samsung's mid-range Dolby Atmos soundbar, the HW-Q910D, is currently seeing a massive discount.
Woot is offering the Samsung HW-Q910D system for just $598 right now. That’s a whopping 54% markdown from its usual $1,300 list price, the lowest we've tracked for this soundbar in 2025 so far. And since this is a new unit, it’s covered by Samsung’s 1-year limited warranty as well.
A capable mid-range Dolby Atmos soundbar
The Samsung HW-Q910D is a 2024 mid-range soundbar sitting below the company’s flagship Q990D and Q930D offerings. It ships with the main soundbar unit, a dedicated wireless subwoofer for impactful bass, and two rear satellite speakers to create an enveloping surround sound experience. On the inside, it houses 15 drivers arranged in a 9.1.2 channel configuration—nine primary forward-firing and side-firing channels, one dedicated low-frequency channel (the subwoofer), and two up-firing height channels specifically designed for object-based spatial audio found in Dolby Atmos content. It boasts wide format compatibility, supporting Dolby Atmos (including Wireless Atmos), Dolby Digital Plus, DTS:X, and DTS-HD.
The soundbar also comes with the SpaceFit Sound room calibration, which uses an integrated microphone to analyze your room's acoustics and automatically tune the output. You can further tweak the sound profile using the SmartThings companion app, accessing modes like Standard, Surround, Game, Adaptive, and Night Mode. Connectivity options are plentiful, including an HDMI input, an HDMI eARC port for seamless TV connection, an optical audio input, Bluetooth 5.2, and Wi-Fi (802.11ac). As for gaming, you’re limited to 4K 60Hz video passthrough.
How does it compare to the HW-Q930D?
So, how does it compare to its sibling the HW-Q930D? There are a couple of key trade-offs. Firstly, the Q910D’s included rear satellite speakers lack their own dedicated up-firing drivers, meaning overhead Dolby Atmos effects might be slightly less distinct than on the Q930D, which does have them. Secondly, the Q910D's rears aren't truly wireless; they need to be wired to a Wireless Receiver Module (which then communicates wirelessly with the main bar). This might make placement a bit trickier depending on your room layout compared to the Q930D's wireless satellites. The Q930D also packs 17 total drivers versus the Q910D's 15.Barring these differences, both soundbars are pretty similar and deliver a premium sound experience. Still, If you can spend a little extra, we recommend going with the Q930D as wireless rears will allow for easier setup and you also gain two additional up-firing channels along with two extra audio drivers.
